The ContentCard system was developed already in 2003 by a German IT service provider in the prepaid systems segment and an application for a patent was filed. At the end of 2006, the potential of the ContentCard system was re-discovered due to improvements of the mobile phone and multimedia computer and its sales and distribution was promoted. International content partners were soon won over and the company was set up as an autonomous spin-off. The company's headquarters are located in Düsseldorf, the heart of the German mobile phone industry. Since 2007, the company's international growth has been financed by a group of investors.

The ContentCard publishing house has specialized in the worldwide distribution of virtual content for the stationary retail. Markus Rieker, the company's chief executive and marketing expert with many years of experience, is pushing on the worldwide expansion of the ContentCard publishing house with the aim to position the ContentCard brand as the leading payment and supply system for virtual products.

What is the ContentCard?

Standardized interfaces provide various technical means of linking to the ContentCard system. They enable virtual products to be purchased or sold via credit card terminals, point of sales, enterprise resource planning systems and websites. The product's major benefit is its affordable costs. The ContentCard can do without expensive premium SMS, premium phone numbers, 0900 numbers and subscriptions. The customer only pays for the ContentCard.
